The lights on the WASP tell you the status of the WASP.
Turn On
To turn on the WASP, hold the power button for one second. The green light will double flash, and the red light will flash rapidly as it connects to your WiFi.
Normal Operation
Once configured to your WiFi, the green light will double flash. If the WASP is plugged in, the red light will flash slowly. There will be no red flash if the WASP is not plugged in.
Trouble
If the red light flashes rapidly for more than 30 seconds, this is always a sign that your WASP cannot connect to your Wifi. Below is what can cause this:
- The WiFi settings have changed. Follow the instructions here to update the WASP's configuration so it can communicate with your WiFi again.
- The WASP is too far away from the router. Bring the WASP closer to your router. If the red light becomes solid or flashes slowly, then you need to place your WASP closer to the router.
Confirm Communication with ONBEAT app
If the lights are flashing properly, you can check that the ONBEAT app and the WASP communicate on your network. Go to the main menu of the ONBEAT app... choose WASPs... wait up to 60 seconds for your WASP to display on the list.
